We've got Playaways: the first self-playing digital audio book!!
Half the size of a deck of cards, Playaway is the simplest way to listen to digital content on the go. It comes with the audio content already pre-loaded. Using clearly marked buttons, Playaway gives listeners the ability to move back and forth within or between chapters and alter the speed of a narrator’s voice. Regular book & non-book items:     2 weeks
Periodicals:                                      1 week
Renewal by phone or in person for two weeks, as long as item(s) is/are not past due.
No overdue renewals.
NOTE: Check out limit of 10 childrens' books per family.

Now on 40 computers for research and reference.  E-mail  is allowed on all systems, but no chat rooms, games, or file downloads (other than reference or research documents).

  - Computers provided by on-base colleges and faculty and students have priority.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
    A free service providing registered library users the opportunity to request books, magazines and articles, not currently in the base library inventory, from other libraries associated with the program.   Three outstanding requests allowed per person.  
    Requests must be made in writing - no phone requests are accepted.  Provide as much detail as possible when filling out the request form, including a current local phone number.
    It may take as long as four weeks for an item to arrive.  Customers are required to check with the library within two weeks of the time they placed the request.  The library will make two attempts to contact the patron when their item has been received.  If not picked up after the second attempt, it will be returned. 
    Items may be renewed one time depending on the lending library's policies.  Overdue items are not eligible for renewal and must be returned promptly.  

How to Get a Library Card
To obtain a library card, you will need to know the following information:
- Sponsor’s Name
- Sponsor's Mailing Address (if TDY, home base)
- Sponsor’s Social Security Number
- Sponsor’s Organization/Duty Section
- Sponsor’s Duty Phone/Home Phone
- Sponsor’s Military and/or personal email address
Additionally:
- If TDY: estimated departure date is required
- If US Navy assigned to a ship: street address, verifiable for mail delivery, is required
